Properties within this area are zoned by the City of Johannesburg’s municipality as agricultural holdings. There are roughly 187 properties within this area (https://ags.joburg.org.za/cgis/index.aspx).
The area is widely known throughout the equestrian industry in South Africa due to the number of riding schools and the population of horses located within this area. Other livestock can also be found here.
The area is very popular for walking, running and cycling, with a number of small restaurants and other venues either in the area itself or in the neighbouring suburbs.
There are multiple schools nearby, such as Pinnacle College, Beaulieu College and Beaulieu prep. Within 10 minutes from Kyalami AH Ext 1 you will find great shopping centers such as Kyalami Corner, Crowthorne Shopping Center and Dainfern Shopping Center.
Another noteworthy nearby attraction is the Kyalami Grand Prix circuit, which has hosted Formula 1 races in the past and currently hosts the Kyalami 9 Hour event on a yearly basis. The facility is also used for exibitions and music festivals on a regular basis.
